Brecon’s School Uniform Swop Shop will return for Easter, opening its doors at Priory Church in Wales Primary School on Wednesday 5th April 2023 between 2pm and 6pm.

Families in Brecon are invited to attend the free event which is organised by Brecon’s Labour County and Town Councillors.

The Swop Shop is open to all families in Brecon who need school uniform items or wish to donate items their children have outgrown. The scheme was set up to help save families money and stop good clothes from going to landfill.

The group is appealing for donations of local Primary school uniforms and Brecon High School blazers and sports kit.

County Councillor Matthew Dorrance said:

“Our School Uniform Swop Shop is taking place in Priory School on Wednesday 5th April and we are inviting local families to come along.

“This free event is open to everyone and we want local families to come and take what they need to help get their children ready for the summer school term.

“We want to help families cut the cost of school uniform and stop good items from going to landfill.”

Town Councillor Michaela Davies added:

“I am delighted that we have been able to organise another Swop Shop for the school Easter break.

“Come along and take the items you need to help your child get ready for the new term.”

You can also donate items to the School Uniform Swop Shop by taking items along on the day or by contacting Cllr Matthew Dorrance and Cllr Michaela Davies.
